Prakhar pursued his undergraduate degree in law at Vidyasagar University, West Bengal (2010-15). He holds an LLM in Competition Law from National Law University, Delhi (2016-17). 

Prior to joining NALSAR in June 2019, Prakhar was an Assistant Professor at UPES, Dehradun and for a brief time between 2015 to 2016 he had practiced at the High Court of Calcutta.

His research interests include political theory, judicial behavior and comparative constitutional law.  His teaching engagements so far include Labour Laws and the Law of Evidence. 

In his free time, Prakhar enjoys playing badminton and volleyball.
