Chinmay pursued his undergraduate studies in law at the National Law University, Jodhpur (2010-15). He also holds an LLM in Legal Theory (summa cum laude) from Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany (2017-18). Chinmay is also currently enrolled as a doctoral candidate at Goethe University, Frankfurt with a focus on examining social epistemic and complexity elements in Hayekian and Habermasian legal theories for guiding the development of blockchain-based normative order.
Prior to joining academia, Chinmay worked as a Legislative Assistant to Members of Parliament under the LAMP Fellowship and as a Research Associate at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.
His research and teaching interest areas include Occidental and oriental jurisprudence; Epistemic perspectives in legal theory and its relation to modernity; Legal theories of Jurgen Habermas and Friedrich Hayek; and the theories of intellectual property.
In his free time, Chinmay enjoys reading philosophy, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
