Academic programmes
The learning space in the University has been laid open for faculty and students to pursue their passions as we do believe that those learning quests yield best results which are voluntarily pursued. The teaching community and the University infrastructure are only aimed at helping all learners to discover themselves.

University Research
The research opportunities for students take the form of mandatory writing done by them as part of the curriculum, for in-house as well as visiting faculty courses. The requirement is flexible enough to allow for pursuit of individual research interests, thereby incorporating inter-disciplinarity and tremendous diversity.

Campus Life
The campus boasts of spacious dining halls, residential complexes (one each for men and women), a stadium, tennis lawns and even a small pond of its own. While classes take up the first half of the day, the campus lanes and pavements come alive as the sun sets behind the plateaus and palms in the horizon
The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR)
The University has the mandate of providing comprehensive legal education at all levels and award degrees or diplomas to successful candidates.
Undergraduate Study
The University offers a five-year B.A.LL.B (Hons.) course which is built on a credit-based elective system which requires the students to earn 200 credits over a period of five years. The course is structured in a manner through which a student can select the courses in which they are interested during their fourth and fifth years.
The University also offers a five-year Integrated Programme in Management, which offers students an opportunity to pursue a career in Business Management. Being a multi-disciplinary university, the scope of courses offered is vast, which allows a student to take electives related to law and social sciences – which sets this course a class apart.
Postgraduate Study
The University offers a one-year LLM Course, which is intensive and combines taught courses and sustained research work. The students must complete three mandatory subjects, and six optional subjects as well as a dissertation. The LLM course encourages students to explore their interests in a range of areas instead of anchoring on any one field right from the start of the programme.
The University also offers a two-year MBA programme, which consists of a total of 130 credits. The programme covers thirty-five teaching courses including one seminar course and a Master’s level dissertation. As part of this programme, every student undergoes three internships to help them understand the application of the theories learned in class.
Research
Research is an integral part of a University, and takes multiple forms. Students engage in mandatory writing as part of their curriculum, as well as for in-house and visiting faculty courses. Student participation in seminars and conferences is encouraged and facilitated.
Various centres have been established in NALSAR, which focus on a wide variety of areas – such as Disability, Environmental Law, IPR, Tax Laws, Corporate Governance, Aerospace Law, and Animal Laws, amongst others. The University organises symposia on various subject areas, such as the Courts and Constitution conference, which focuses on Constitutional Law.
Online & Distance Education
The University through its Directorate of Distance Education (NALSAR Proximate Education) offers Master’s and Advance Diploma programmes on contemporary and upcoming areas of law such as International Taxation, Cyber Laws, Media Laws, Animal Protection Laws, Patents Laws, and Aviation Law & Air Transport Management, amongst others.
The programmes have been designed to impart practical solutions to professional managers in their regular work and their decision-making processes. These courses can be opted by fresh graduates and even by working professionals.
